SUMMER VISIT - 2nd JULY 2011
POWIS CASTLE, NEAR WELSHPOOL, POWIS
The world-famous garden is overhung
with clipped yews of enormous stature, looking like
fantastic green waves about to engulf the visitor. The sheltered terraces overlooked by
original lead statues supported colourful borders
beautifully lit in the warm sunshine. Many ice creams were consumed from the café at the foot of the gardens. |

Powis
is a fairy-tale castle surrounded by immaculate
and interesting gardens and glorious
views.
